In 2017 I was invited to contribute some recordings made with the Kabbalistic Synthesizer to the Cyland Audio Archive, an archiving project set up and run by Sergey Komarov between St. Petersburg, Kaluga and New York. The recordings I submitted
were made using some of the original sounds recorded from the first Kabbalistic Synthesizer that was extremely temperamental and with hindsight beautifully shambolic and irreproducible. The phenomena caught in the recording in both instances were mysterious glitches, something to do with some area of the synth interacting with another in an
unintended way. These were some magic moments with the synth used as samples and composed with using supercollider and some sequencing. Listen/buy here.
